Dan Rupe
Dan’s unique manner of depicting the Provincetown streets
and architecture rests on his method of painting on a red ground, laying
on multiple colors that generate their own resonance and speak to the
viewer with a very strong sense of completeness. Dan is one of the plein-air
painters seen in Provincetown, his easel on his back, as he goes about
finding his subject – a unique building, side street or site he can
