| Ann Scott |
Over the last few years I have returned to landscape/marinescape work after 30 years of making every other kind of art there is. I've done video, performance, paintings of all kinds -- my particular love was minimalism and still is, printmaking, sculpture both studio scale and earthwork size and have loved every minute of it. But the very soul of who I am as an artist is tied to the beauty of nature and I have an especially intense passion for all things nautical. The move to seascapes was as natural as my next breath because of all the time I spend in or around the water. Every chance I get I go out in my kayak or on any other kind of boat I can find. The change is really a return to my roots as an artist and to the very center of what I love most...nature.
